Abstract
Benzoyloxybenzoates having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are lower alkyl or cycloalkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur, and R.sup.5 is alkyl, aryl, alkaryl or hydrogen Are useful as stabilizers of organic materials such as polyolefins.

A benzoyloxybenzoate having the structure ##STR5## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 are tert-butyl groups,
- R.sup.5 is alkyl group having up tp 30 carbon atoms, phenyl or alkyl substituted phenyl having up to 24 carbon atoms.
