Abstract
Herbicidal compositions containing (1) 3-methyl-4-amino-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-5-one of the formula ##STR1## and (2) a 4-phenoxy-phenoxy-alkanecarboxylic acid derivative of the general formula ##STR2## wherein R and R.sup.1 may be hydrogen or halogen n and n.sup.1 are integers from 1 to 3 R.sup.2 is hydrogen or alkyl R.sup.3 is hydrogen or alkyl or a cation Display outstanding synergistic effects when applied as herbicides.

A herbicidal composition containing as active ingredients, in herbicidally effective amounts, (1) 3-methyl-4-amino-6-phenyl-1,2,4-triazin-5-one of the formula ##STR7## and (2) a 4-phenoxy-phenoxy-alkanecarboxylic acid of the formula ##STR8## wherein the weight ratio of compound (1) to compound (2) is from about 1:1 to about 2:1.
