A fungicidal composition which contains as active substance a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of the formula I ##STR11## wherein R represents hydrogen or methyl, together with a suitable carrier therefor.
A method of combating phytopathogenic fungi which comprises applying to the locus thereof a fungicidally effective amount of N-(1'-methoxycarbonyl-ethyl)-N-(furan-(2")-carbonyl)-2,6-dimethylaniline.
