Abstract
Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is --H, --OH, --O. alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or acyl of 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and R is alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms are useful for stabilizing polyolefins against degradation by ultraviolet light.

A compound of the formula:
- ##STR4## wherein X is --H, --OH, -- O., alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or carboxylic acyl of 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and R is alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
