Abstract
The known sterilization and purification properties of activated carbon which is impregnated with silver are restored by treating spent silver impregnated activated carbon with steam.

The method of restoring the sterilization and purification properties of silver impregnated activated carbon which comprises subjecting spent silver impregnated activated carbon to the action of steam until said properties are restored.
