Abstract
Novel pyrrolobenzoxazalkanes, physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof and a method of preparing same are described. Compounds of the present invention are useful as analgesic, tranquilizing and anticonvulsant agents.

A compound of the formula ##STR16## wherein Y is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl, trifluoromethyl, nitro or amino;
- R.sup.2 is alkyl, phenylloweralkyl, alkylaminoalkyl, dialkylaminoalkyl or diphenylloweralkyl of the formula ##STR17## and R.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkylloweralkyl or phenylloweralkyl;
- m the integer 1 or 2;
- or a physiologically tolerable acid addition salt thereof.
