Abstract
Plastic compositions containing nylons and bis-phenoxy compounds having the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN Z is bromine, m and m' are each integers having a value of 1-5 and alkylene is a straight or branched chain alkylene group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms.

A plastic composition comprising a nylon and a flame retardant said flame retardant consisting of a compound having the formula ##STR6## wherein (a) Z is bromine;
- (b) m and m' are independent and are integers having a value of from 1 to 5;
- and (c) alkylene is a straight or branched chain alkylene group having from one to six carbon atoms.
