Abstract
A method of linking a protein to a carboxylated latex by an amide bond which comprises the steps of forming an active ester latex, dialyzing the active ester latex, and coupling the latex to a protein such as an antibody or an antigen.
Claims6
A method for coupling a carboxylated latex to a protein with an amide bond which comprises reacting the latex with a water soluble carbodiimide and a water solubilized N-hydroxy compound to form an active ester latex, removing unchanged reactants from the active ester latex and coupling the cleaned active ester latex with a protein.
