Abstract
An apparatus for establishing contact between a liquid and a gas comprising a cylindrical container which is arranged to rotate about its axis and has at least the circumferential wall perforated so that the liquid and the gas can flow therethrough, and which is packed with filling bodies.

An apparatus for establishing contact between a liquid and a gas, comprising a cylindrical container having a circumferential wall and end walls, said container being packed with hollow filling bodies and mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis, at least the circumferential wall of the cylindrical container being perforated so that the liquid and the gas can flow therethrough, the hollow filling bodies being of sufficiently light weight to support the cylindrical container when said container is partially immersed in the liquid, said cylindrical container being substantially completely filled with said filling bodies.
