Abstract
Metals on a cracking catalyst are passivated by contacting the catalyst with at least one compound selected from the group of compounds having the general formula ##STR1## WHEREIN THE R groups which can be the same or different consist of hydrocarbyl radicals having 1 to about 18 carbon atoms per radical, the overall number of carbon atoms per molecule being 6 to about 90.
Claims5
A process for passivating metal on an active clay cracking catalyst which has become contaminated with at least one metal of the group consisting of nickel, vanadium, and iron which comprises contacting said catalyst with at least one antimony compound having the formula ##STR4## wherein the R groups which can be the same or different are hydrocarbyl radicals having from 1 to about 18 carbon atoms per radical, the total number of carbon atoms in the molecule being 6 to about 90, for a time sufficient to passivate said metal on said catalyst.
