Abstract
Synthetic resin compositions prepared by blending resin with the surface-treated glass flakes obtained by treating glass flakes with an inorganic acid have an excellent resistance against gas-permeability.

A sparingly gas-permeable synthetic resin composition impregnated with surface-treated glass flakes obtained by contacting glass flakes with an inorganic acid solution at a pH not higher than 1.0 at a temperature of 50.degree. C up to the boiling point of the inorganic acid solution.
