Abstract
Method and apparatus for tagging explosives with a source of SF.sub.6 permitting the detection of their presence utilizing sensitive sniffing apparatus.

An electrical detonator having a shell containing a detonating material and means for sealing said shell, the improvement comprising a source of SF.sub.6 within said shell, said source releasing said SF.sub.6 over a period of time.
