Abstract
A hair treating composition containing, in addition to a hair coloring agent, a water soluble secondary or tertiary amine polymer or a polymer of diallylamine or a quaternary polymer of diallyldialkylammonium salts which improves the surface characteristics of hair.
Claims9
A hair coloring composition containing, in addition to a coloring agent,
- water and a water soluble polymer having a molecular weight from 20,000 to 3,000,000 and having a molecular chain containing units selected from the group consisting of ##EQU1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl;
- R' is hydrogen, alkyl having one to twenty-two carbon atoms, lower hydroxyalkyl having from one to five carbon atoms, or lower alkyl containing a terminal amido group;
- and A and B are independently alkyl having from one to twenty-two carbon atoms, lower hydroxyalkyl, or lower alkyl containing a terminal amido group, or wherein A and B taken together with N are piperidinyl or morpholinyl, the amount of said polymer being from 0.05% to 40% by weight of the total composition.
