Abstract
Polycyclic dyestuffs of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl or together form a ring which is optionally interrupted by hetero-atoms and wherein both the benzene nucleus A and the said radicals R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 can carry non-ionic radicals customary in dyestuff chemistry, and their use for the dyeing of organic materials, especially synthetic fiber materials. Dyeings obtained show good general fastness properties.

A compound of the formula ##SPC8##
- wherein
- R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, cyclohexyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcyclohexyl, halocyclohexyl, hydroxycyclohexyl, phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, halophenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylphenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxyphenyl-C.sub. 1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -hydroxyalkylphenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, hydroxyphenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, halophenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylphenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxyphenyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -hydroxyalkylphenyl, hydroxyphenyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl substituted by halogen, hydroxy, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, --COOH, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonyl;

- A is unsubstituted as shown in the above formula or is substituted by
