Abstract
Novel 1,2,4-benzothiadiazines substituted with an amino, alkylamino, or dialkylamino group in the 3-position are useful as central nervous system depressants and as diuretics.
Claims10
A compound having the structure ##SPC23## wherein R.sub.1 is amino, alkylamino, or dialkylamino;
- R.sub.2 is phenyl or phenyl substituted with halogen, nitro, trifluoromethyl, alkyl or alkoxy;
- R.sub.3 is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, trifluoromethyl, alkyl, or alkoxy;
- R.sub.4 is hydrogen or ##EQU4## and R.sub.5 is hydrogen or alkyl;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition salt thereof;
- wherein the terms alkyl and alkoxy refer to groups having 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
