Abstract
Improved oxidative dehydrogenation catalysts are prepared by modifying a zinc ferrite oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst with manganese oxide. The resulting catalyst compositions exhibit higher conversions and yields.
Claims4
A novel catalyst composition suitable for oxidative dehydrogenation or organic compounds consisting of zinc ferrite compositing having the empirical formula
- Zn.sub.x Fe.sub.y O.sub.z
- wherein x is from about 0.1 to about 2, y is from 0.3 to about 12, and z is from about 3 to about 18 and additionally containing free manganese oxide as a promoter in an amount of from about 0.1 to about 10 wt.% based on the weight of the zinc ferrite composition.
