Abstract
Side chain modification of 24-hydroxyimino-14a-aza-D-homo-cholesta-8(9), 14(14a)-dienes provides novel azasteroids having antifungal activities.
Claims10
The compound of the formula ##SPC3##
- wherein:
- R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are both hydrogen or both methyl:
- R.sub.3 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkanoyl;
- X is halogen, NR.sub.4 R.sub.5, or OR.sub.6, wherein R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 independently are hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl;
- R.sub.6 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, or an alkali metal cation;
- and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
