Abstract
This invention provides compositions containing polysulfonamides which are prepared by the addition polymerization of bis-N-cyanosulfonamides. The resins are useful in coating, molding, laminating and casting applications.
Claims15
The addition polymerization product of an N-cyanosulfonamide compound of the formula:
- ##EQU10## with a bis cyanamide of the formula:
- ##EQU11## wherein R is a divalent aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic radical;
- and each R' is independently a monovalent aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic radical.
A polymer of a bis-N-cyanosulfonamide compound of the formula ##EQU12## wherein R is a divalent aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic radical;
- and each R.sup.1 is independently a monovalent aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic radical, with 0-10 moles per mole of the sulfonamide of a bis cyanamide having the formula:
- ##EQU13## wherein R is a divalent aromatic, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic radical.
