Abstract
An apparatus for sensing the speed of a rotating anode of an X-ray tube and for providing signals responsive to the detected rotating speed.
Claims10
A system for sensing the rotational speed of the rotatable anode of an X-ray tube, comprising, in combination, means for sensing the vibrations of the rotating anode, means for converting said vibrations into alternating current signals of different frequencies, means for selecting signals at a frequency responsive to a vibration depicting a given rotational speed of the anode, and means for providing an output indicative of the selected frequency and thereby of the given rotational speed of the anode.
