Abstract
Compounds of the formula ##EQU1## wherein R is C.sub.n H.sub.2n and wherein n is an integer of 1 to 11, and wherein Y is the sulfonic acid (--SO.sub.3 H) group or carboxylic acid (--CO.sub.2 H) group, have been found to have fungicidal activity. The compounds can be used in the free acid or salt form.

A method of destroying fungi comprising applying to the fungi a fungicidally effective amount of a guanido compound of the formula:
- ##EQU7## where R is CnH.sub.2n and n is an integer of 1 to 11 and Y is the group --COOH or a salt thereof.
