Abstract
Secondary alcohol ether ethoxylates having the formula ##EQU1## wherein R.sub.1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical with 4 to 18 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical with 1 to 10 carbon atoms, x and y are integers 0 and 1, z is an average value from 3 to 18, the sum of the carbon atoms of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is from 6 to 22 and the sum of x + y is 1, as well as methods for their production and washing agent compositions containing them.

Secondary alcohol ether ethoxylates having the formula ##EQU11## wherein R.sub.1 is a straight-chain aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 4 to 18 carbon atoms selected from the group consisting of alkyl and alkenyl, R.sub.2 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms selected from the group consisting of alkyl and alkenyl, and z is an average value between 3 and 18, with the proviso that the sum of the carbon atoms in R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is from 6 to 22.
