Abstract
Fuel compositions for internal combustion engines containing Diels-Adler adducts of N-3-oxohydrocarbon acrylamides or N-3-hydroxyhydrocarbon acrylamides with conjugated diene compounds such as 1,3-butadiene, cyclopentadiene. The adducts also have utility as solubilizing agents, plasticizers, and ultraviolet absorbing additives for polymeric compositions.
Claims16
A compound having one of the formulas ##EQU11## wherein each of M, M.sup.1, M.sup.2, M.sup.3, M.sup.4 and M.sup.5 is hydrogen, methyl or halo with the proviso that no more than three of the M values are other than hydrogen;
- each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 is hydrogen or lower alkyl;
- R.sup.o is ##EQU12## and Y is CH.sub.2 or CCl.sub.2.
A compound having the formula ##EQU16## wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 is hydrogen or lower alkyl and R.sup.0 is ##EQU17##
