Abstract
New esters of .alpha.-aminopenicillins having the formula ##EQU1## wherein R is C.sub.2 -C.sub.7 alkyl; WHEREIN R.sup.2 = H or OH, R.sup.3 = H or halogen; ##SPC1## Wherein R.sup.1 is ##EQU2## or --Ch.sub.2 NHCOO--R.sup.4 wherein R.sup.4 = C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sup.5 = H, CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5, useful as active ingredients of pharmaceutical preparation; processes for their preparation; chemical intermediates useful in said preparation; and methods for the treatment of infectious diseases.
Claims19
A pharmaceutical preparation which comprises, as an active ingredient, an anti-bacterially effective amount of at least one compound of the structural formula ##EQU14## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in which formula R is the radical ##SPC4##
- wherein R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and hydroxy and R.sup.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and halogen such as chlorine and fluorine, and wherein R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of ##EQU15## in which formulas R.sup.4 is selected from the group consisting of alkyl groups containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms;
- and R.sup.5 is selected from the group consisting of H, and -CH.sub.3, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
