Abstract
A composition for use in Deacidification of Paper, which comprises 0.1 to 20% by weight of methyl magnesium carbonate in an organic solvent, where the solvent is not harmful to the paper.

A composition for the deacidification of paper materials comprising 0.1 to 20% by weight of methyl magnesium carbonate in an organic solvent.
A composition according to calim 3 wherein the methyl magnesium carbonate is present in 1-3% by weight.
