Abstract
A zeroing circuit for use in conjunction with devices that produce output signals in response to input data signals feeds a compensating signal into such a device to produce a zero output signal when there is a zero input signal. The device being compensated is intermittently tested for the zero condition, and an aspect of the compensating signal is altered to produce the zero condition.
Claims8
In a circuit for detecting a parameter of a component of a gas in a gas chromotography, sensing means comprising:
- means for producing a signal having a predetermined level when a component of the gas is not present;
- means for generating a signal indicative of a variance of the signal from the predetermined level;
- first feedback means between the variance signal generating means and the signal producing means, said first feedback means having first electronic switch means and means for storing the variance signal;
- second feedback means around the variance signal generating means, said second feedback means having second electronic switch means;
- and means for operating the first and second electronic switch means in a timed relationship with the introduction of gas into the chromotograph.
