Abstract
Novel 9-substituted phenyl- or cyclohex-1-en-1-yl-3,7-dimethyl-nona-2,4,6-trienoic acids or derivatives thereof, -trienal or -trienol derivatives are described. The subject compounds are useful in the treatment of certain dermatoses and inflammatory and allergic dermatological conditions.
Claims4
A compound selected from compounds represented by the formula ##SPC12##
- wherein R.sub.1 is a 2,6,6-trimethyl-cyclohex-1-en-1-yl group or a phenyl group substituted in positions 2 and 6 by a member selected from the group consisting of halogen, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy and in at least one of positions 3, 4 and 5 by a member selected from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxy, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkenoxy, lower alkanoyloxy and R.sub.2 is carboxyl .
