Abstract
A mother substrate includes a base substrate, a plurality of cells, a plurality of protective layers, and a dummy pattern. A plurality of active regions and a dummy region surrounding the plurality of active regions are defined on the base substrate. The plurality of cells are positioned on the base substrate, overlap the active regions, respectively, and include a plurality of light-emitting diodes. The plurality of protective layers are disposed on the plurality of cells, respectively, and overlap the plurality of active regions, respectively. The dummy pattern overlaps the dummy region and is formed of the same material as the protective layers.

A mother substrate comprising:
- a base substrate in which a plurality of active regions and a dummy region surrounding the plurality of active regions are defined;
- a plurality of cells positioned on the base substrate, overlapping the plurality of active regions, respectively, and comprising a plurality of light-emitting diodes;
- a plurality of protective layers disposed on the plurality of cells, respectively, and overlapping the plurality of active regions, respectively;
- and
- a dummy pattern overlapping the dummy region and formed of a same material as the plurality of protective layers.
A method of manufacturing a display panel, comprising:
- providing a base substrate in which a plurality of active regions and a dummy region surrounding the plurality of active regions are defined;
- forming a circuit layer comprising a plurality of transistors overlapping the plurality of active regions on the base substrate;
- forming a light-emitting layer comprising a plurality of light-emitting diodes on the circuit layer;
- forming an encapsulation layer on the light-emitting layer;
- and
- forming a cover layer by coating a material comprising an organic material to form a plurality of protective layers overlapping the plurality of active regions and a dummy pattern overlapping the dummy region.
