Nanoparticles to be used for a functional layer of a light-emitting element, the nanoparticles comprising
- nickel oxide, the nanoparticles having an infrared absorption spectrum obtained by infrared spectroscopy, and the infrared absorption spectrum having an absorption peak at a wave number corresponding to nitrate ions,
- wherein, when the nanoparticles are heated by raising an ambient temperature from room temperature by 10° C. per minute, the nanoparticles lose weight by 8.0% or more and 18.0% or less with reference to a weight at the room temperature while the ambient temperature is 309° C. to 411° C.
A light-emitting element, comprising:
- an anode;
- a cathode;
- and functional layers positioned between the anode and the cathode and including at least a light-emitting layer,
- wherein at least one of the functional layers contains:
- nickel oxide;
- nanoparticles having an infrared absorption spectrum obtained by infrared spectroscopy, the infrared absorption spectrum having an absorption peak at a wave number corresponding to nitrate ions;
- and
- when the nanoparticles are heated by raising an ambient temperature from room temperature by 10° C. per minute, the nanoparticles lose weight by 8.0% or more and 18.0% or less with reference to a weight at the room temperature while the ambient temperature is 309° C. to 411° C.
