Abstract
A home appliance is disclosed. This home appliance may comprise a container detection sensor for detecting at least one from among position, size and material of a container placed on a top plate by using an oscillation signal according to the change in equivalent resistance of a plurality of detection coils.
Claims15
A home appliance comprising:
- a top plate on which a container is seated;
- a plurality of heating coils for heating the container using electromagnetic induction;
- a plurality of sensing coils electromagnetically coupled to the container to generate equivalent resistance and equivalent inductance when the container is seated on the top plate;
- and
- a plurality of container sensing sensors configured to detect at least one of a position, a size, and a material of the container seated on the top plate, based on an oscillation signal according to change in the equivalent resistance of the plurality of sensing coils.
