Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method by which a user equipment (UE) performs positioning in a wireless communication system. Particularly, the method is performed by a medium access control (MAC) entity of the UE and comprises the steps of: acquiring an MAC protocol data unit (PDU); determining a cast type indicator of the MAC PDU on the basis that the MAC PDU is for positioning protocol signaling; and transmitting the MAC PDU together with the cast type indicator to at least one peer MAC entity.
Claims12
A method comprising:
- obtaining, by a medium access control (MAC) entity of a user equipment (UE), a MAC protocol data unit (PDU);
- determining, by the MAC entity, a cast type indicator of the MAC PDU based on the MAC PDU being for positioning protocol signaling;
- and
- transmitting, by the MAC entity, the MAC PDU with the cast type indicator to at least one peer MAC entity.
A user equipment (UE) comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause a medium access control (MAC) entity of the UE to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a MAC protocol data unit (PDU);
- determining a cast type indicator of the MAC PDU by the MAC entity based on the MAC PDU being for positioning protocol signaling;
- and
- transmitting the MAC PDU with the cast type indicator to at least one peer MAC entity.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the storage medium storing at least one program code including comprising program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a medium access control (MAC) entity of a user equipment (UE) to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining a MAC protocol data unit (PDU);
- determining a cast type indicator of the MAC PDU by the MAC entity based on the MAC PDU being for positioning protocol signaling;
- and
- transmitting the MAC PDU with the cast type indicator to at least one peer MAC entity.
