Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for single transport block (TB) transmission. A user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) that includes an uplink resource assignment for a scheduled uplink transmission, and the DCI includes an indication of at least one modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the scheduled uplink transmission. The UE may allocate uplink resources for the scheduled uplink transmission from a set of logical channels (LCHs), where a quantity of the uplink resources that are allocated for an LCH of the set of LCHs is based on one or more parameters associated with the LCH, and the one or more parameters include the at least one MCS for the scheduled uplink transmission.
