Maximum autonomous ta adjustments for area-specific uplink transmissions

A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• obtaining an indication of a first timing advance (TA) adjustment procedure and a second TA adjustment procedure;
• applying at least one of the first TA adjustment procedure or the second TA adjustment procedure if a set of transmissions is associated with multiple cells;
• and
• transmitting the set of transmissions based on the application of the first TA adjustment procedure or the second TA adjustment procedure.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a network node, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the at least one memory and, based at least in part on information stored in the at least one memory, the at least one processor, individually or in any combination, is configured to:
• configure at least one of a first timing advance (TA) adjustment procedure or a second TA adjustment procedure for a set of transmissions being associated with multiple cells;
• transmit, for a user equipment (UE), an indication of the first TA adjustment procedure and the second TA adjustment procedure;
• and
• receive, from the UE, the set of transmissions based on an application of the first TA adjustment procedure or the second TA adjustment procedure.
