Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for power control in random access procedure. A method implemented at a terminal device comprises obtaining at least one power control parameter to be used for a request message for a contention free random access, CFRA. The method further comprises transmitting, to a network node, the request message for the CFRA. A power of the request message for the CFRA is controlled based on the at least one power control parameter. The request message comprises: a random access channel, RACH, preamble and a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH.
Claims20
A method implemented at a terminal device, the method comprising:
- obtaining at least one power control parameter to be used for a request message for a two-step contention free random access, CFRA;
- and
- transmitting, to a network node, the request message for the two-step CFRA;
- wherein a power of the request message for the two-step CFRA is controlled based on the at least one power control parameter;
- and
- wherein the request message comprises:
- a random access channel, RACH, preamble and a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, and
- characterized in that the at least one power control parameter comprises:
- a dedicated alpha value for PUSCH for the two-step CFRA configured in a dedicated signaling, wherein the dedicated alpha value is a scaling factor of a path loss;
- a power offset of PUSCH relative to a preamble received target power in a two-step contention-based random access, CBRA;
- and
- a power ramping step for PUSCH in the two-step CBRA.
A method implemented at a network node, the method comprising:
- transmitting at least one power control parameter to a terminal device;
- and
- receiving, from the terminal device, a request message for a two-step contention free random access, CFRA;
- wherein a power of the request message for the two-step CFRA is controlled based on the at least one power control parameter;
- and
- wherein the request message comprises:
- a random access channel, RACH, preamble and a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, and
- characterized in that the at least one power control parameter comprises:
- a dedicated alpha value for PUSCH for the two-step CFRA configured in a dedicated signaling, wherein the dedicated alpha value is a scaling factor of a path loss;
- a power offset of PUSCH relative to a preamble received target power in a two-step contention-based random access, CBRA;
- and
- a power ramping step for PUSCH in the two-step CBRA.
A terminal device, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory, the memory containing instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the terminal device to:
- obtain at least one power control parameter to be used for a request message for a two-step contention free random access, CFRA;
- and
- transmit, to a network node, the request message for the two-step CFRA;
- wherein a power of the request message for the two-step CFRA is controlled based on the at least one power control parameter;
- and
- wherein the request message comprises:
- a random access channel, RACH, preamble and a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, and
- characterized in that the at least one power control parameter comprises:
- a dedicated alpha value for PUSCH for the two-step CFRA configured in a dedicated signaling, wherein the dedicated alpha value is a scaling factor of a path loss;
- a power offset of PUSCH relative to a preamble received target power in a two-step contention-based random access, CBRA;
- and
- a power ramping step for PUSCH in the two-step CBRA.
