Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a network energy saving (NES) indication that indicates one or more NES parameters associated with one or more candidate network nodes for Layer 1 or Layer 2 (L1/L2) triggered mobility (LTM). The UE may communicate one or more messages with the one or more candidate network nodes in accordance with the one or more NES parameters as part of a synchronization procedure for LTM. The UE may transmit, to a serving network node, a measurement report in accordance with one or more measurements associated with the one or more candidate network nodes, wherein the one or more measurements are performed in accordance with the synchronization procedure and the one or more NES parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.
