Abstract
A method of quality of experience (QoE) measurement and reporting includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE) in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, an RRC release message indicating transitioning of the UE from the RRC connected state to an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state, selecting or reselecting, while in the RRC idle state or the RRC inactive state, a first cell provided by a first base station (BS), camping on the first cell and determining whether to remain camped on the first cell based on one or more QoE parameters associated with the first cell.

A method of quality of experience (QoE) measurement and reporting, comprising the steps of:
- selecting, by a user equipment in a radio resource control (RRC) idle state or the RRC inactive state, a first cell;
- receiving system information indicating one or more QoE parameters associated with the first cell;
- and
- determining whether to remain camped on the first cell while staying in the RRC idle state or RRC inactive state based on the one or more QoE parameters.
A method of quality of experience (QoE) measurement and reporting, comprising the steps of:
- receiving, by a user equipment (UE) in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, an RRC release message indicating transitioning of the UE from the RRC connected state to an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state;
- and
- selecting or reselecting, while in the RRC idle state or the RRC inactive state, a first cell provided by a first base station (BS) based on one or more stored QoE parameters associated with the first cell.
