Abstract
A wireless device determines a radio link control (RLC) data volume of a delay-critical RLC data unit. The determining is based on a remaining time value of a discard timer, of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit, being less than a threshold and the delay-critical RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit. The wireless device transmits a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE). The DSR MAC CE indicates the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.

A method comprising:
- determining, by a wireless device, a radio link control (RLC) data volume of a delay-critical RLC data unit, wherein the determining is based on:
- a remaining time value of a discard timer, of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit, being less than a threshold;
- and
- the delay-critical RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- transmitting a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
A wireless device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:
- determine a radio link control (RLC) data volume of a delay-critical RLC data unit, wherein the determining is based on:
- a remaining time value of a discard timer, of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit, being less than a threshold;
- and
- the delay-critical RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- transmit a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device, cause the wireless device to:
- determine a radio link control (RLC) data volume of a delay-critical RLC data unit, wherein the determining is based on:
- a remaining time value of a discard timer, of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) data unit, being less than a threshold;
- and
- the delay-critical RLC data unit corresponding to the PDCP data unit;
- and
- transmit a delay status reporting (DSR) medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) indicating the RLC data volume of the delay-critical RLC data unit.
