Abstract
This present system, methods and device relate to the support for execution of spatial computing function in IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-based augmented reality (AR) calls with data channel support. This enables the WTRU to offload, based on its capabilities and conditions, some spatial computing function to the media function (MF) in the IMS architecture.

A method of executing a spatial computing function in IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-based augmented reality (AR) calls with data channel (DC) support, the method comprising:
- performing spatial computing (SC) session setup and negotiation;
- establishing an application session configured based on the performed SC setup and negotiation;
- and
- running an invoked SC function.
A system for executing a spatial computing function in IP multimedia subsystem (IMS)-based augmented reality (AR) calls with data channel (DC) support, the system comprising:
- an IMS, the IMS including:
- an IMS application server (AS);
- a DC signaling function (DCSF);
- and
- a media function (MF) including a spatial computing (SC) function;
- the IMS performing spatial computing (SC) session setup and negotiation;
- the IMS establishing an application session configured based on the performed SC setup and negotiation;
- and
- the IMS running an invoked SC function.
