Method for operating a control unit and a determination unit of a lightweight vehicle

A control unit of a vehicle, the control unit comprising:

• a memory (M_CUb);
• a communication interface (I_CUb);
• and
• a processing unit (P_CUb) communicably connected to the memory (M_CUb) and the communication interface (I_CUb), the processing unit (P_CUb) configured to:
• receive, with the communication interface (I_CUb), a message (V2X2), from a further vehicle, comprising status information (stat_c) of the further vehicle (CARc) via a radio channel (RCH),
• transmit, with the communication interface (I_CUb), the received status information (stat_c) of the further vehicle (CARc), from the control unit (CUb), via a communication channel (CHb) between the control unit (CUb) and a determination unit (DUb), and
• receive, with the communication interface (I_CUb), a status information (s_DUb) of the determination unit (DUb), from the determination unit (DUb), via the communication channel (CHb);
• wherein the status information (s_DUb) of the determination unit (DUb) includes an upper layer application status or a battery status of the determination unit (DUb),
• wherein the communication channel (CHb) between the determination unit (DUb) and the control unit (CUb) is a sidelink communication channel, and
• wherein the radio channel (RCH) between the control unit (CUb) and the further vehicle (CARc) is a sidelink radio channel.
