Asynchronous readout encoding for event-based vision sensor

Abstract

Asynchronous readout encoding for event-based vision sensors (and associated systems, devices, and methods) is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method of encoding event data from an event-based vision sensor includes encoding row address information using a row address MSB package and a row address LSB package. The row address MSB package can include a first prefix code and the row address LSB package can include a second prefix code different from the first prefix code. The method can include encoding column address information using a column address MSB package and a column address LSB package. The column address MSB package can include a third prefix code and the column address LSB package can include a fourth prefix code different from the third prefix code. At least one prefix code can have a different length from at least one other prefix code.
