Asynchronous readout encoding for event-based vision sensor

A method of encoding event data from an event-based vision sensor, the method comprising:

• encoding row address information using a row address MSB package and a row address LSB package, the row address MSB package including a first prefix code and the row address LSB package including a second prefix code that is different from the first prefix code;
• and
• encoding column address information using a column address MSB package and a column address LSB package, the column address MSB package including a third prefix code and the column address LSB package including a fourth prefix code that is different from the third prefix code,
• wherein the method further comprises:
• encoding row-wise information using one or more row-append packages positioned after the row address LSB package,
• encoding pixel-wise information using one or more column-append packages positioned after the column address LSB package, or
• a combination thereof.
