Image signal processor and image signal processing method

An image signal processor comprising:

• a pattern kernel determiner configured to determine whether a target kernel is a pattern kernel;
• a defective pixel determiner configured to determine whether a target pixel included in the target kernel is a defective pixel when it is determined that the target kernel is the pattern kernel;
• a pixel data generator configured to generate first data by using pixel data of pixels having same attributes as the target pixel when it is determined that the target pixel is the defective pixel;
• a pixel group determiner configured to determine a correction pixel group from among a plurality of pixel groups included in the target kernel by using the first data;
• and
• a pixel interpolator configured to determine second data based on pixel data of pixels included in a target pixel group including the target pixel and pixel data of pixels included in the correction pixel group, and to determine data of the target pixel based on the second data.

An image signal processing method comprising:

• determining whether a target kernel including a target pixel is a pattern kernel;
• determining whether the target pixel is a defective pixel;
• generating first data by using pixel data of pixels having same attributes as the target pixel included in the target kernel;
• determining a correction pixel group from among a plurality of pixel groups included in the target kernel by using the first data;
• determining second data based on pixel data of pixels included in a target pixel group including the target pixel and pixel data of pixels included in the correction pixel group;
• and
• determining data of the target pixel based on the second data.
