Abstract
In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method for mitigating reference frame mismatches in encoded video streams includes generating first metadata that indicates a first frame location associated with a first encoded video stream, determining that the first encoded video stream includes a non-reference frame at the first frame location, and creating system metrics for debugging and error notifications.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method for mitigating reference frame mismatches in encoded video streams, the method comprising:
- generating first metadata that indicates a first frame location associated with a first encoded video stream;
- determining that the first encoded video stream includes a non-reference frame at the first frame location, wherein a non-reference frame is a frame that is decodable based at least on a reference frame;
- and
- generating one or more metrics that describe a defect associated with at least a portion of the first encoded video stream.
One or more non-transitory computer-readable media including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to mitigate reference frame mismatches in encoded video streams by performing the steps of:
- generating first metadata that indicates a first frame location associated with a first encoded video stream;
- determining that the first encoded video stream includes a non-reference frame at the first frame location, wherein a non-reference frame is a frame that is decodable based at least on a reference frame;
- and
- generating one or more metrics that describe a defect associated with at least a portion of the first encoded video stream.
A system comprising:
- one or more memories storing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories that, when executing the instructions, perform the steps of:
- generating first metadata that indicates a first frame location associated with a first encoded video stream,
- determining that the first encoded video stream includes a non-reference frame at the first frame location, wherein a non-reference frame is a frame that is decodable based at least on a reference frame, and
- generating one or more metrics that describe a defect associated with at least a portion of the first encoded video stream.
