Abstract

Systems, methods, and devices described herein are related to an affine motion compensated temporal filter. A device may include a processor. The device may be configured to obtain at least one temporal filter reference picture associated with a picture. The device may perform, for a block in the picture, a motion estimation associated with an advanced motion model type based on the at least one temporal filter reference picture to obtain a motion compensated block. The device may derive a motion compensated temporal filter (MCTF) at least based on the motion estimation. The device may obtain a filtered picture based at least on applying the derived MCTF on the block in the picture.
