Abstract
An image decoding method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes receiving image information including residual information for a current block, decoding syntax elements included in the residual information, decoding transform coefficients for sub-blocks of the current block based on the decoded syntax elements, and deriving residual samples for the sub-blocks based on the transform coefficients, wherein whether parity hiding is applied to the current block is determined, and wherein a parity bit for a first transform coefficient among the transform coefficients is derived based on that the parity hiding is applied to the current block.
Claims20
An image decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- receiving image information including residual information for a current block;
- decoding syntax elements included in the residual information;
- decoding transform coefficients for the current block based on the decoded syntax elements;
- and
- deriving residual samples for the current block based on the transform coefficients,
- wherein whether parity hiding is applied to the current block is determined, and
- wherein the transform coefficients are derived based on parity for a specific transform coefficient based on that the parity hiding is applied to the current block.
An image encoding method performed by an encoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- deriving residual samples for a current block;
- deriving transform coefficients for the current block based on the residual samples;
- encoding the transform coefficients;
- and
- encoding image information including the encoded transform coefficients,
- wherein whether parity hiding is applied to the current block is determined, and
- wherein parity-related information for a specific transform coefficient is not signaled based on that the parity hiding is applied to the current block.
A transmitting method for image data, the method comprising:
- obtaining a bitstream generated by an image encoding method, wherein the bitstream is generated based on deriving residual samples for a current block, deriving transform coefficients for the current block based on the residual samples, encoding the transform coefficients, and encoding image information including the encoded transform coefficients;
- and
- transmitting the image data including the bitstream,
- wherein whether parity hiding is applied to the current block is determined, and
- wherein parity-related information for a specific transform coefficient is not signaled based on that the parity hiding is applied to the current block.
