Abstract
An image decoding/encoding method and device according to the present disclosure may construct a reference sample for linear model prediction of a current block based on reconstructed neighboring samples of the current block, derive a linear model of the current block based on the reference sample, generate a prediction sample of the current block based on the linear model, and decode/encode the current block based on the prediction sample of the current block.

An image decoding method comprising:
- constructing a reference sample for linear model prediction of a current block based on reconstructed neighboring samples of the current block;
- deriving a linear model of the current block based on the reference sample;
- and
- generating a prediction sample of the current block based on the linear model.
An image encoding method comprising:
- constructing a reference sample for linear model prediction of a current block based on reconstructed neighboring samples of the current block;
- deriving a linear model of the current block based on the reference sample;
- and
- generating a prediction sample of the current block based on the linear model.
A method of transmitting data of image information, comprising:
- constructing a reference sample for linear model prediction of a current block based on reconstructed neighboring samples of the current block;
- deriving a linear model of the current block based on the reference sample;
- generating a prediction sample of the current block based on the linear model;
- generating a bitstream by encoding the current block based on the prediction sample;
- and
- transmitting data including the bitstream.
