Method and display apparatus for correcting distortion caused by lenticular lens

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing one or more computer programs including computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a display device individually or collectively, cause the display device to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• obtaining, by the display device, a target image;
• identifying, by the display device, a predefined first slanted angle at which a lenticular lens of the display device is slanted with respect to a display axis;
• identifying, by the display device, at least one area in the target image, which comprises at least one edge within the target image, which is slanted with respect to the display axis at a second slanted angle that is within a preset range from the first slanted angle;
• selecting, by the display device, a plurality of sub-pixels based on a first sub-pixel comprised in the identified at least one area;
• and
• allocating, by the display device, a first combination value to an output value of each of the plurality of sub-pixels, the first combination value being obtained by combining values of the plurality of sub-pixels.

A display device comprising:

• a lenticular lens;
• a display;
• memory storing one or more computer programs;
• and
• one or more processors communicatively coupled to the display and the memory,
• wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the display device to:
• obtain a target image,
• identify a predefined first slanted angle at which the lenticular lens is slanted with respect to a display axis,
• identify at least one area in the target image, which comprises at least one edge within the target image, which is slanted with respect to the display axis at a second slanted angle that is within a preset range from the first slanted angle,
• select a plurality of sub-pixels based on a first sub-pixel comprised in the identified at least one area, and
• allocate a first combination value to an output value of each of the plurality of sub-pixels, the first combination value being obtained by combining values of the plurality of sub-pixels.
