An image processing apparatus includes: an image acquirer that acquires a plurality of pieces of first image data read by an image reading device and at least one piece of second image data read by the image reading device; a storage that stores a learning model generated by performing machine learning on a relationship between a first feature value for each of the plurality of pieces of first image data and first base removal information indicating a density range of a target to be removed as a color of a base region included in each of the plurality of pieces of first image data; and one or more controllers, in which the one or more controllers use the learning model to execute removal of a color of a base region included in the second image data based on second base removal information acquired by inputting a second feature value for the second image data to the learning model.
