Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a security attack mitigator for automotive dynamic security defense levels. More specifically, a processing device obtains an indication of a security risk to a vehicle. The processing device identifies, via a rules engine, a security rule from amongst a plurality of security rules based on the indication of the security risk to the vehicle, where the security rule indicates a mitigation strategy for the security risk. The processing device implements, at the vehicle, the mitigation strategy indicated by the security rule.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- obtaining an indication of a security risk to a vehicle;
- identifying, via a rules engine executed by a processing device, a security rule from amongst a plurality of security rules based on the indication of the security risk to the vehicle, wherein the security rule indicates a mitigation strategy for the security risk;
- and
- implementing, at the vehicle, the mitigation strategy indicated by the security rule.
A system, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processing device, operatively coupled to the memory, to:
- obtain an indication of a security risk to a vehicle;
- identify, via a rules engine, a security rule from amongst a plurality of security rules based on the indication of the security risk to the vehicle, wherein the security rule indicates a mitigation strategy for the security risk;
- and
- implement, at the vehicle, the mitigation strategy indicated by the security rule.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by a processing device, cause the processing device to:
- obtain an indication of a security risk to a vehicle;
- identify, via a rules engine executed by the processing device, a security rule from amongst a plurality of security rules based on the indication of the security risk to the vehicle, wherein the security rule indicates a mitigation strategy for the security risk;
- and
- implement, at the vehicle, the mitigation strategy indicated by the security rule.
