Topic-Based Synchronization Of A Chat Interface With An Information Interface

One or more non-transitory computer readable media comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more hardware processors, cause performance of operations comprising:

• displaying a chat interface comprising a chat window and a historical message pane in a graphical user interface (GUI) of an application;
• analyzing a first set of messages currently displayed within the chat window to determine a first set of one or more topics corresponding to the first set of messages;
• executing a query on a set of stored chat messages to identify a first subset of the stored chat messages associated with the first set of one or more topics corresponding to the first set of messages;
• displaying the first subset of stored chat messages in the historical message pane concurrently with the display of the first set of messages within the chat window;
• subsequent to displaying the first subset of stored chat messages, detecting a second set of messages in the chat window that were not previously displayed during the display of the first set of messages;
• responsive to detecting the second set of messages, determining a second set of one or more topics corresponding to the second set of messages;
• executing a query on the set of stored chat messages to identify a second subset of the stored chat messages associated with the second set of one or more topics corresponding to the second set of messages;
• and
• displaying the second subset of the stored chat messages in the historical message pane concurrently with the display of the second set of messages within the chat window.

A system comprising:

• one or more hardware processors;
• one or more non-transitory computer-readable media;
• and
• program instructions stored on the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• displaying a chat interface comprising a chat window and a historical message pane in a graphical user interface (GUI) of an application;
• analyzing a first set of messages currently displayed within the chat window to determine a first set of one or more topics corresponding to the first set of messages;
• executing a query on a set of stored chat messages to identify a first subset of the stored chat messages associated with the first set of one or more topics corresponding to the first set of messages;
• displaying the first subset of stored chat messages in the historical message pane concurrently with the display of the first set of messages within the chat window;
• subsequent to displaying the first subset of stored chat messages, detecting a second set of messages in the chat window that were not previously displayed during the display of the first set of messages;
• responsive to detecting the second set of messages, determining a second set of one or more topics corresponding to the second set of messages;
• executing a query on the set of stored chat messages to identify a second subset of the stored chat messages associated with the second set of one or more topics corresponding to the second set of messages;
• and
• displaying the second subset of the stored chat messages in the historical message pane concurrently with the display of the second set of messages within the chat window.
