Abstract
In one implementation, a device may hash contents of a structured document that describes an application programming interface. The device may compare a hash of the contents to cached hash values for contents of previously assessed structured documents to identify similarities. The device may apply a cached quality assessment metric for a previously assessed structured document demonstrating similarities. The device may assess (e.g., fully or partially) the structured document not demonstrating the similarities to generate an initial quality assessment metric.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- hashing, by a device, contents of a structured document that describes an application programming interface;
- comparing, by the device, a hash of the contents to cached hash values for contents of previously assessed structured documents to identify similarities;
- applying, by the device, a cached quality assessment metric for a previously assessed structured document to a portion of contents of the structured document that demonstrate similarities when considering a criteria of analysis;
- and
- assessing, by the device, contents of the structured document for all criteria considered for analysis to generate initial quality assessment metrics.
An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more network interfaces;
- a processor coupled to the one or more network interfaces and configured to execute one or more processes;
- and
- a memory configured to store a process that is executable by the processor, the process when executed configured to:
- hash contents of a structured document that describes an application programming interface;
- compare a hash of the contents to cached hash values for contents of previously assessed structured documents to identify similarities;
- apply a cached quality assessment metric for a previously assessed structured document to a portion of the contents of the structured document demonstrating the similarities;
- and
- assess a portion of the contents of the structured document not demonstrating the similarities to generate an initial quality assessment metric for that portion.
A tangible, non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing program instructions that cause a device to execute a process comprising:
- hashing contents of a structured document that describes an application programming interface;
- comparing a hash of the contents to cached hash values for contents of previously assessed structured documents to identify similarities;
- applying a cached quality assessment metric for a previously assessed structured document to a portion of the contents of the structured document demonstrating the similarities;
- and
- assessing, when applicable for a corresponding analyzer, contents of the structured document not demonstrating the similarities to generate an initial quality assessment metric for each analyzer.
